Singapore is metropolitan city-state had a lot more tricks up its sleeve. It seems that whatever your traveling style, they have something that fits to your liking: family fun, hip hangouts, nightlife, arts and entertainments, shopping and dining, nature and wildlife…and the list goes on and on. The sheer amount of activities you can do in this city is nothing less than impressive. And did you know that Singapore is among the 46 places listed by the New York Times as a destination to visit in 2013? I think that’s pretty cool.
I honestly say I’ve never had a bland experience when I was there. I remember watching Macbeth on the grass at Fort Canning Park during 2011′s Shakespeare in the Park; and having an absolute ball dancing at ZoukOut, Singapore’s annual rave party; gaping at the beautiful skyline during a night river cruise; hanging out with my Singaporean friends over yummy cocktails and great conversation at the al-fresco Lily Pad Restaurant at Clarke Quay; trying out the delectable Fish Head Curry at the Banana Leaf Apollo (oh it was just to die for! I recommend this to anyone who likes curry), and my must-do thing in Singapore: dining at hawker centres.
It’s rather obvious that I am no stranger to Singapore, huh? Haha. Still, as familiar as I think I am with it, it always manages to sneak up with many mouth-gapingly great things to do that leave me wanting more. Take these events for example: the upcoming 5K Zombie Run on October 26 2013 ; or the World Street Food Congress that was recently held in the F1 pit Building. There’s also the annual Singapore Grand Prix, to be held on 20 – 22 September 2013. To say that I am impressed is rather an understatement. This place is smorgasbord of goodness, my friends — the epitome of good living!
